South to Low Moor

Trailer Park area approx 1030 hrs, still very windy. c30 small gull sp., c150 Starling, c65 Lapwing; again, I decided to leave anything in the boggy field alone. These numbers didn't change on the return leg home.

Harold Park: 3 Goosander on Jug Dam, 2 male & 1 female. Coots, a pr which were broody, Moorhens, 3 Collared Dove, pr Canada Geese.

The main lake also had Goosander replicated in both number and gender. 3 Mute Swan: Yellow 468; Yellow 694; Red Y725. Pr GC Grebe, Tufteds, Mallards, Coots & Moorhens. A fair number of small gull sp. but no big gulls. In contrast to my last visit here passerines were mainly absent, the exception being a few Goldfinch & House Sparrows.

For the first time in many visits, I didn't complete the circuit of  Park Dam, which was being well savaged by the supposedly fading winds. Once again there were no big gulls and only a comparatively low number of small ones. c60 Canada Geese, reduced nos of Tufted Duck, Mallard, Coot & Moorhen. However I did, on the final sweep of the 'noculars find 3 Little Grebe. Passerines were down to 3 Blackbird, couple Greenfinch.
