Humdrum Day

Actually that's a euphemism for bl**din sh*t day.
Started with a nightmare bus trip to the sharp end that had to be aborted. I thought it was low season; tell that to the tourist plague that broke out.
I decided to go local in order to calm down. This worked because the cool NW'ly that has embellished the UK suppressed bird action here. A fair portion of waders have moved elsewhere and there were no raptors seen. However I got my first Stone Curlew and one of the normally half hidden Nightie Herons showed itself preening.
5 Sardine Can Warblers together was also rather unexpected.
