Soil Hill Delivers

Arrived on the hill around 1025 hrs aiming for Ring Ouzel and Wheatear. Two thirds of the way down the north slope tree line a male Ring Ouzel flew into sight. It then gave me the run around as I took some well below par photos.
After alerting BS and DW a female flew from a fence into the top third of the bushes but was subsequently not seen.

DW turned up and I'm pleased to say got the male bird on what was his third attempt this week. By now it was a little more stable but always at a distance.

DW's shot at long range
Others on the hill:
Pr Greylag Geese flying low > E, 4 Lapwing, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Blackbird, 5 Linnet, 3 Mallard, 1 Curlew, c14 Meadow Pipit and the Skylarks. As the two of us parted company one of the Little Owls that hang on the Ned Hill track side called for a few seconds.
I moved down to Ogden Res which was hit and miss but supplied me with 3 singing Chiffchaff, Green Woodpecker, Jay, Mistle Thrush & a pr LBBG.
Wheatear can wait for another day.
