Soil Hill Ogden Mixenden

SH 1010 hrs. Met a resident who told me 30 mins earlier a big brown bird with some white on it was sitting on top of one of the trees up Perseverance Rd. Subsequently I failed to see anything like the presumed Buzzard. There was a GSW calling from the bottom of the road.
The hill top had 2 Skylark and 7 Meadow Pipit while Ned Hill track produced c12 more of the latter. Also on the track 1 Chaffinch & c8 Goldfinch with 5 BHG over. C48 Canada Goose down by the bottom left pond.

The plantation at Back Lane turned up 4 Redwing and a calling WW/Chiff. Ogden Res was quiet: 1
LBB, 5 Common & c64 BH gulls, 1 Jay & 1 Pied Wagtail. c30 Canada flew over but moved on.
The stretch from the golf course to Mixenden again was quiet: 1 each BHG, Jay, GSW. Mixenden was lifeless until the very end when a Sparrowhawk flew from the stand of pines next to the road.
A good lift came from Swalesmoor at 1440 hrs on the way home with 3 Buzzard hanging in the air high above.
