Queensbury South Rocks

Started off in my hovel at around 0920 hrs to get a true armchair tick as I looked out through the window. A Grey Heron was flying low against the wind up Brighouse Rd when it veered left and flew right over my front garden heading W. Not only an annual but a garden first, most satisfactory methinks.

DW and I then had an action packed 25 minute session in the Park Lane area at approx 1010 hrs.
Brambling - a total of 7 counted including birds parked up in the hedgerow opposite you know where.
1 Greenfinch, 7 Redwing, again incl hedgerow birds. 5 Stock Dove, 1 Collared Dove, 1/2 Jay, 1 Bullfinch (DW only). 1 Nuthatch, quite a few Blackbird & Goldfinch & the White Crow briefly in the park. The area was crawling with several Blue/Gt Tits.
