Raggalds to Mixenden

A catchup for Saturday 14th 2050 hrs. Tawny Owl calling but this time at distance and probably over the frog.

Raggalds approx 1030 hrs today Mon. Nuthin on the flood but big clumps of small gulls and Lapwings on the sports field.
Soil Hill was gash: m Reed Bunting, Crow, 2 Robin.

Ogden Res turned up yet another new ringed BHG. Black on white ring bearing a combo yet to be deciphered from my camera if possible.

EH9F ?
It will be very difficult just to get the country of origin with these pics
Other than that it was deadly: 19 Canada, 1 Goldcrest, 3 Robins, Blue & Gt Tits.
I witnessed a moment when tree fellers dropped a huge pine tree. It crashed down with such force the soundwaves reverberated from the opposite W bank.

3 Goldeneye at Mixenden Res  provided an annual tick. A f Goosander was also present along with 8 dullards and a horde of mainly small gulls with a few big uns thrown in at distance.

This bird was ringed on an uninhabited island called GRIEND in the NETHERLANDS. Hopefully the dutch ringer will reply within a few days.
