Having taken a full day off yesterday I decided on a half day this am looking around the agricultural fields. It paid off in the sense that I finally managed a pr Stone Curlew flying around calling loudly but not settling to give any type of view. Perhaps in the remaining 2 days more may arrive hopefully.
Another new bird was seen in flight giving fairly good views but not near enough for any contre joure photos. This was a Purple Heron which eventually landed in the reeds.
Another 2 Nightingale were singing and I was happy to get my 3rd male Redstart which reminded me with its flitting around that flycatchers are yet to appear.
